Took 3rd Place In The Nation After Never Before Making The Semifinals!
I wanted to send a thank you from the bottom of my heart for Katti Powell's amazing coaching, mentorship and friendship. I believe that she went above and beyond the call of duty in preparing me for Talent Quest and in the way that she cared about me throughout the year. She is honest in her assessment of my performances, never failing to give praise where it was earned, but also never failing to be honest about a pitch or rhythm inconsistency or a lack of energy. She provided ideas for improvement and gifts of wisdom regarding both what I should sing and how I should hold myself to a higher standard of belief in myself.
She laughed at my corny jokes and listened to the things that were causing me difficulties, not only in life but in how they affected my preparation and performance. She is and was a rock in supporting the new Mike Johnson that is confident and self assured enough to know that I can sing and perform with the best of them!!
